Montana??? Why Montana???
My Friends ask “Why are you going to Montana?” Why not Montana?
Of the United States, Montana is the fourth largest state. According to Wikipedia it is larger than Japan. However, the most interesting fact is it is the third largest in the production of craft beer. This last statement I am going to have to check out personally.
In addition to beer, Montana has a lot of other things going for it. As an example, the amazing story of the westward expansion during the old west. From Custer’s last stand to Lewis and Clark there is an amazing amount of American history then I’m going to explore out here . In addition to the story of European settler expansion there’s also the story of aboriginal natives and the way that they were treated
Billings has an old west charm and an airport that sits on a rimrock overlooking the city. You can see the planes moving on the runways from the town below.
There is also absolutely amazing scenery ranging from thermal hot Springs to amazing mountain ranges and wildlife scattered through the national parks and along the highways.
But the primary reason that I’m going is that I am attending my first TBEX Conference.TBEX Is short for Travel Bloggers Exchange. It is a conference where tourist boards, Travel suppliers and bloggers all get together to hopefully arrive away to work together and expand the presence of those brands in the marketplace.
They say “TBEX is the largest conference and networking event for travel bloggers, online travel journalists, new media content creators, travel brands and industry professionals. Each year, TBEX partners with fantastic host destinations in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific to bring the travel industry’s most creative minds together to learn, network and do business.
What do I hope to gain from this?
Well first of all I get to visit a new place. Secondly I get to make connections with other bloggers. And thirdly make connections with brands in order to understand what the marketing needs are for the year and how I might fit into their plans.
Hopefully I will gain Better information on how to keep this blog current and maybe monetize my passion.
